#7: folk automne

En octobre sur les réseaux sociaux c’est l’effervescence créative. Ça a commencé avec Inktober, puis inktober a fait des petits. Le principe ? Une liste de mots à illustrer tout au long du mois d’Octobre ayant trait souvent a la période de Samhain / Halloween. Ces listes sont proposées désormais par plusieurs comptes d’artistes, chacun avec leur spécificités.

In October on social medias it’s the creative fever. It began with Inktober then Inktober inspired others. What is it ? A word list, prompts, each day of October mainly after Halloween. Those propositions are made by accounts related to art, each with an orientation.

J’ai choisi la liste de Sin-Eater, autour du folklore anglo-saxon. Je fais des rapprochements avec le folklore Germain. Ça me permet de pallier à mon manque de travail à l’atelier, alors que l’inspiration est revenue, car nous travaillons à fond sur des événements que nous organisons.

I choose the Sin-eater list after the Anglo-Saxon folklore. I do parallel with Germanic lore. Its help me to cope with my lack of time to work in my art studio, now inspiration is back . I miss it so much. We work hard on events we organise.

Solar worship / culte solaire : Mithra

J’aurais donc trente et un petits dessins. Et j’ai très envie de les réunir en un seul endroit. Je vais en faire un micro artbook en accompagnant les images du folklore que j’évoque. J’espère l’avoir disponible pour début décembre.

I will have 31 small drawings. I really want to centralize them in one place. A micro artbook in which you will find the picture with the story. I hope to have it for beginning of December.

The Green Knight / le chevalier vert

Ce livre sera peut-être le début de quelque chose de nouveau et complémentaire dans mon travail.

This book will perhaps be something new and complementary in my work.

Pour finir un œil sur mon agenda:

• À partir du 5 novembre un financement participatif pour imprimer mon Mémento Mori Tarot que j’ai réalisé lors de ma collaboration avec Visions. Les fonds récupérés seront un complément pour les actions de l’association en faveur de l’art en ruralité et des publics les moins favorisés des campagnes. Les originaux feront parti des contreparties.

• From November 5th a crowdfunding for print my memento Mori tarot I made last spring during a residency. Benefits will go to the Association which work for art in countryside and those less favored. watercolors will be a part of the counterparts.
